5 reasons why many blogs fail

Blogging itself isn’t very difficult, but many blogs fail for several reasons! As much as bloggers want to blame outside factors, their failure can often be rooted in their own personal attributes!

Let’s look at 5 common reasons why blogging success tends to elude so many others and why personal attributes can often be at the root of that success!

Lack of time

Are people who stop blogging really short on time or are they just poor time managers or lacking strong commitment? Many times, if our “commitment” to something is NOT that strong, we will find reasons why we should quit! Achieving blogging success is something that ONLY comes over time and with consistent effort! Results in the form of traffic or loyal readers are very slow to develop initially, which increases frustration while decreasing the blogger’s enthusiasm or motivation! More often than not, aspiring bloggers become convinced that they don’t have the time to invest!

Lack of interest

When you choose a blog topic or theme it MUST be something that interests you and NOT a whimsical choice that you will quickly abandon! One of the most important and critical assets a blogger can have is a true passion for the subject they are writing about! Choosing the topic you base your blog on is something that requires careful thought on your part! A guarantee that you will never experience blogging success is to choose a topic that interests you little or not at all, as this will quickly dissolve your enthusiasm!

Shortage of writing ideas

When you lack the necessary passion for the subject, you write about your curiosity or its lack limits your research efforts! Without being “thirsty” for more information and/or new information, you therefore tend to quickly run out of ideas that you can develop and publish on your site! Although many bloggers have had great success focusing on topics they are knowledgeable about, others have success focusing on a topic they want to learn more about! The latter is therefore able to share what he has learned and, provided he continues to do research, he will continue to have new ideas that he can develop and display!

No traffic

As mentioned earlier, building traffic is a crucial step toward experiencing any degree of blogging success, but it takes time and patience! It is quite possible that patience is the most important of all the personal attributes you will need to succeed in your blog! People today have become accustomed to having their “wishes” granted immediately and this feeling of instant gratification really diminishes their patience! This of course sets the stage for them to quickly become frustrated and discouraged by the results they are achieving, thus forcing them to quit!

Focus is weak

Every blogger must have a strong sense of motivation to stay motivated and keep what they write in line with the theme of the site! People, for various reasons, tend to lose focus on what they are doing, which generally makes them less productive! When blogging, be clear that you will face a lot of competition and if you let your productivity drop, it will take you much longer to succeed! Think about the effort it takes to roll a large boulder up a hill and what happens once you stop pushing the boulder! You end up losing much, if not all, of the ground you have already gained, rendering your previous efforts useless! Well, the same goes when you blog, the less intense your efforts, the longer it will take you to achieve blog success! In most cases, the longer the process, the more likely people are to quit before the process produces the desired results!

In short, my conclusion and opinion

Blogging fails for many reasons, but in most cases the causes can be traced back to the personal attributes of the individual blogger! Blogging, while not difficult, takes time, patience and a willingness to work! Investing this way, consistently, is the only way to expect blog success! Of course, if for any reason you choose not to make the effort, then understand that it is a choice, yours, and not insurmountable obstacles blocking your path to blogging success!
